Good Wednesday morning. Here are some of your responses to songs and Scriptures that have been a comfort during this time.

  • A scripture that has sustained me for years in Romans 8:28. I hold on to the fact that nothing can separate me from the love of Christ. A comforting song is "He knows just what I need." (Kati W.)
  • Amazing Grace, Victory in Jesus and right now, Teach Me Lord ti Wait! All three of these are my go-to songs. (Sally D.)
  • One of my favorites. The entire song, but here are a few of the words that stand out . . . Amazing Grace . . . That Saved a Wretch like me! . . . Through many dangers, toils, and snares I have already come. 'Tis Grace hath brought me safe thus far And Grace will lead me home . . . He will my shield and portion be As long as life endures. (Ken L.)
  • Michelle Supratman creates songs from the Scriptures and you can find her on YouTube. One that has helped me over the past week is the following: When the time is right, I the Lord will make it happen. (Isaiah 60:22b)
  • I love the Bible verse that you end your lessons with every week (Numbers 6:24-26). We will pull up the song, The Lord Bless You and Keep You, online and listen to it every Sunday. I will admit one reason I am partial to the song is that whenever a Christian college choral group would come visit our congregation during my childhood, they usually ended their program with this song. On a somewhat superficial level, it is simply a beautiful musical arrangement. However, more importantly the words are so comforting when we apply them to our lives in faith, believing that God will indeed bless and keep us, be gracious unto us and give us peace, no matter what our circumstances are. I need to be reminded of that constantly. (Jenny A.).
The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face to shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace. (Numbers 6:24-26)
