There's no app for mothers!

Just in case anyone is wondering, moms are still important.

In Matthew 15:1-9, Christ told some people their worship of God was in vain because they weren’t taking care of their elderly mothers (and fathers)!

On the cross, Jesus gave instructions for the care of His mother (John 19:25-27).

Churches are (and will continue to be), filled with good and not-so-good traditions. As we try to weed out the latter, let’s make sure we leave Mother’s Day alone. Anything honoring parents just sounds like a good idea, doesn’t it? And when you take into consideration the deconstruction of the nuclear family that has occurred within the last fifty years, we simply can’t afford to forget mom.

To couch it in current technological terms, there’s no app for mothers --- so you’d better make sure you take care of the one God has given to you!

Her children arise and call her blessed;
her husband also, and he praises her:

"Many women do noble things,
but you surpass them all."

Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.

Honor her for all that her hands have done,
and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

(Proverbs 31:28-31)
